On Sunday April 28, 2019 Pegi Eyers appeared at Roots of Activism, an Afternoon of Revolutionary Film Education and Environmental Activism with her book Ancient Spirit Rising in Toronto. This successful event was hosted by environmental activist Rachel Parent, founder of Gen-Earth and Kids Right to Know. To keep his legacy alive, Rob Stewart's award-winning film REVOLUTION was screened, followed by an engaging conversation with his parents Sandy and Brian Stewart, the producers of Shark Water Extinction. Panels of leading visionaries and youth activists dialogued on the spirit of activism, food safety and climate change. Held at the Centre for Social Innovation in the Annex in Toronto, Roots of Activism was an amazing opportunity to connect and exchange with like-minded changemakers interested in the protection of nature’s diversity, #oceanacidification, #deforestation, #overfishing, and #climatechange, and to learn about eco-organizations, activists and authors!
