Decolonization is specific to the systemic and political process of First Nations Peoples, who are actively liberating their communities and their land from colonial rule. Uncolonization is universal terminology, for all peoples on the journey to undo, unlearn, and unpack colonial programming. Learn the crucial difference between "decolonize" and "uncolonize" in the second part of this timely presentation, and how to use the correct terms as we all unlearn colonial conditioning.  Our hope is that this webinar will assist you in the use of "decolonize" and "uncolonize" in your own work.

Tanya Rodriguez is Executive Director with the National Institute for Racial Equity, Commission Chair Human Relations Commission, City of Asheville, and an Educator. She is known by many as a fierce Boriqua that speaks truth to power and is fearless in dismantling the systems of oppression.

Pegi Eyers is the author of the award-winning book "Ancient Spirit Rising: Reclaiming Your Roots & Restoring Earth Community," a survey on social justice, nature spirituality, earth-emergent healing and the holistic principles of sustainable living. Pegi self-identifies as a Celtic Animist, and is an advocate for the recovery of authentic ancestral wisdom and traditions for all people.
